|
XJP sound-absorbing wedge is mainly
applied in the indoor anechoic chamber with free sound
field as these special laboratories require that all the
areas indoors shall have sound absorption close to 100%.
Usually the minimum frequency when the sound absorption
coefficient reaches α=0.99 is the cut-off frequency of
sound-absorbing wedge, because at this time the conditions
for free sound field can be met to large extent indoors.
XJP sound-absorbing wedge is constructed with steel bars
of certain sizes to form a framework in the design form
and size; the framework is sewn with facing material on
it and filled with porous sound-absorbing materials evenly
in the framework.
The working principle of sound-absorbing wedge is as following:
when the sound wave is transmitted from the tip of the
wedge, due to the gradual transition of the sound-absorbing
layer, the acoustic impedance of the material and the
acoustic impedance of the air can match precisely, thus
the sound wave is absorbed by the sound-absorbing product
efficiently. The sound-absorbing wedge is composed of
three parts, which are tip part, base part and cavity.
The sound-absorbing performance of the wedge is closely
related with the wedge length, ratio between tip part
and base part, cavity between the wedge and rigid surface
as well as the density of material etc. The longer the
wedge, the better performance of low-frequency sound absorption.
